Rusty Blade In Jolly Ranchers Bag - Hershey Apologizes
Now what's an upsetting discovery? Here we have a Amy Hu, a young mom from Santa Clara who got the shock of her life when she discovered a razor blade knife in her recently purchased Jolly Rancher Crunch ‘N Chew Candy bag.
She was happy indulging in the first few candy pieces but her joy was short lived and turned into a shock when she pulled out a sharp razor blade from her candy bag instead of one of those goodies! The blade, partially white taped has been aptly described a “shank,” a concealed weapon used by prisoners to make serious injuries or for killing.
Hu however didn't stop there with her shocking discovery and went on to inform the police as well as the Hershey Company. Hershey has apologized to the customer and promised to take the matter seriously.
Amy Hu was offered three replacement Jolly Rancher candy bags as compensation which she refused and rather asked Hershey to investigate and fix the issue.
The packaging of the candy was done in Brazil as indicated in the bag's label. The mother of two is only thanking God that it wasn't a kid who discovered the blade.
