It is nothing if not shameful that New York City, which is the melting pot of world cuisine and cultures should also be home to the lowest paid workforce in fast food industry. According to the Bureau of Labor Department Statistics, the lowest paid job category in New York City is ‘Combined Food Service and Preparation Workers, Including Fast Food.”
