Coupled with – Trust me, you don’t want to spoil the royally sweet effect by coupling it with anything.
Birth Place - Rajasthan
This yummy and crunchy honeycomb like Indian sweet is made in January at Rajasthan for the Makar Sankranti(Harvest festival). Ghewar, an addictive and extremely sweet deep fried Indian dessert made from cottage cheese or paneer as Indians call it, has become a part of the general Indian cuisine too. It is often made as Plain Ghewar but it also comes in various varieties like paneer topped Ghewar or those made from desi ghee. They are also prepared at the Teej festival in Rajasthan. Often this yummy delicacy is given to newly wed brides in Rajasthan as a gift. I would say lucky women!!!
