Haleem is a very popular dish made by Muslims in Pakistan and India especially on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr. Haleem is a popular Hyderabadi dish, traditionally made in large urns, slow cooked overnight on a wood fire. This broken wheat, lentil and meat porridge or stew is spicy, wonderfully flavorful and nutritious. It is a one-dish meal, perfect for winter and for the starving stomach in Ramadan.
