Lord Ganesha is said to be very fond of the sweet called Modak, a jaggery and coconut filled sweet Indian dumpling. Therefore, on every Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the Lord is always offered with his favorite sweet, the modak and once the rituals are completed, these delicious sweets are distributed to all his devotees :)
