You don't eat your oranges or lemons with the peel intact, right? But what do you do with the peels? You can air dry the peels and add them to your beef dishes. Or better still, you can make candied peels for later use. If you want to do something more special, pulverize the peels after removing the white pitch and make some orange peel essence. This will lend subtle citrus-y flavor to your tea, popcorn or drink.
