Syrup cake usually contains any kind of sweet syrup. Mostly cakes are made with flour, sugar, egg and baking powder, but syrup cake is made with adding flavored syrup along with the basic ingredients. Like in, chocolate syrup cake homemade chocolate syrup can be added or ‘Hershey’s chocolate syrup’ can also be used. Pineapple syrup, strawberry syrup or peach syrup is also available to be added in the syrup cake. In American cuisine, syrup cake is a well-liked dessert.
