Steak is a slice of meat often taken from beef and prepared either
with grilling or pan frying. Steaks cut from the loin and rib region are more tender and are cooked quickly, using dry heat, and served whole, whereas cuts from the chuck or round are less tender and are cooked with moist heat or are mechanically tenderized. Steak has its variations in the form of flank steak, filet mignon, hanger steak etc. Steak is best enjoyed either with baked potatoes, shrimp or a cooked lobster tail.
