Sarson Ka Saag

Sarson Ka Saag is typically a north Indian dish that is made up of spinach, mustard greens, green chilies, ginger, garlic, grated onion, cumin powder, Bengal gram flour and garam masala powder. It is a North Indian specialty that is particulary devoured during the winter season. Sarson Ka Saag recipes are extremely popular and are ideally enjoyed with makki ki roti or Indian maize flatbread. Sarson ka saag recipe can be prepared easily at home and it is particularly ideal for parties and get-togethers. To prepare sarson ka saag recipe the greens along with green chilies and salt have to be boiled and cooked together in water. The greens once cooked have to be mashed properly so that it turns into a course paste. Ghee has to be added to another pan and in that onions have to be fried followed by the remaining ingredients. Fry all the ingredients and add them to the green mix till it gets properly blended. Sarson ka saag can be garnished with a dollop of butter and served with makki ki roti.
