Jambalaya rice is a dish invented as southern Louisiana in 1700s, when people were coping with their poverty. Jambalaya was actually a staple recipe in which all the things were cooked in single cooking pot because it was the only cooking pot available in the house. The main ingredients needed to make jambalaya rice are black pepper, chopped yellow onions, chopped celery, salt, Louisiana hot sauce, butter, chopped green bell pepper, garlic cloves, green onions, chicken broth and uncooked rice.
