Quark Cheese

Quark cheese is a type of soft un-aged cheese that is usually white in color. This is a low fat cheese, which is widely appreciated for high level of Vitamin B12 and protein. Hailed from Central Europe, this cheese is extremely similar to other un-aged cheese varieties like French fromage frais, farmer's cheese, Mexican queso blanco and South Asian paneer. This cheese is also referred as topfen, tvorog, and biezpiens. This is prepared by heating soured milk to get the needed level of denaturized milk proteins. It is also named as curd cheese or cottage cheese by various popular English dictionaries. Even though this cheese is very common in Europe, the production of the same cheese is very rare in America and surrounding areas.
