Potato daal, a well-liked caribbean side dish, is also popular across the world. It is a food regarded suitable for people following the vegetarian diet. Mostly potato daal is made by freeze chill.

300 grm bengal gram lentils (chaana daal or cholar daal)
3 - 4 Green chillies
1/2 Fresh coconut or else you can use potatoes as a substitute
1 bunch of Coriander leaves(chopped)
1 chopped Tomato ... intact.
In the mean time dice the coconut/ potato in to small cubes .
In a pan heat 4 tsp oil and add
100 gms. red lentils (Masur dal)
100 gms. Carrots
100 gms. Onions
1 Tbl. sp. oil
2 Medium potatoes
4 Cups stock or 5 cups water
Kothmir (chopped) and milk (optional) for garnish,
salt, pepper and herbs to taste
Stuffed Fried Bread
Whole Wheat
Water
Cooked Daal for filling ( substitute with mashed potatoes)

Wash the yellow lentils (Toor daal) thoroughly.
Then add the potatoes, cauliflower and 4 cups of water ... .
Yellow lentils 1/4 cup
Cauliflower 1 tbsp
Potato 1 small
Carrot 1 small
Onion 1 small
White Radish 1"
grams Tomatoes (chopped)
1 cup Toor daal
1 tsp Turmeric powder
4 number whole Red Chillies
1. Put daal ... the simmering daal. Remove and adjust seasoning.

tindora with I usually fry tindora with potatoes and onions.
It tastes amazing.
I fry the onions with a bit of garlic...then put a bit of red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Then I put in the potatoes ... this is with rice and daal. Right now, I am having it on its own and it still tastes GOOD!
