Poppy seed salad can be prepared in a number of different ways and with an assortment of vegetables and meats. One of the popular recipes is the Teriyaki chicken salad with poppy seed dressing. It is a light summers salad that is made from chicken breasts, romaine, teriyaki marinade, sliced kiwifruit, red and green pepper, raspberries, strawberries, green onions, cashews and mandarin oranges. Chicken needs to be marinated overnight and then the next day it has to be grilled for a couple of minutes. The various fruits along with romaine have to be topped with grilled chicken and a generous portion of poppy seed salad dressing to complete the salad.
