Paula Deen is a chef, cookbook author, television and media personality from America. She is the owner of The Lady and Sons restaurant, in partnership with her sons.
Professional Life of Chef Paula Deen
Born in Albany, Georgia, Deen went through a tough phase after the death of her parents when she was 23 years old suffering from a rare disease called agoraphobia confining her to home. During this phase she sought to cooking as a therapy to heal herself. Thereafter she worked in a bank as a teller in 1986 and in 1989 armed with rich experience in cooking she came up with a catering business. Her specialties included sandwiches and quick meals assisted by her sons. She named her business as "The Bag Lady" and then later on began a restaurant called "The Lady & Sons in Savannah America. Thereafter she began another restaurant called "Paula Deen Buffet" at Harrah's Casino at Tunica, Mississippi. In 2009 she began her own line of desserts at the Walmart store with desserts such as Apple Crunch Top and Dark Rum Pecan as her signature dishes.
