Vegetables like napa cabbage, carrots, and green onions are finely shredded and mixed with oriental salad dressing that is made up of rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce and honey. Noodles are used raw and roughly crushed, whole sesame seeds are used as garnish. The vegetables and dressing is individually prepared and kept ready, they are mixed only a few minutes before serving to maintain the crunch.
