Napa cabbage is a type of Chinese cabbage and therefore napa cabbage salad is also termed as Chinese cabbage salad. These are much lighter in color than regular cabbages. The cabbage is never chopped rather shredded into fine strips. Napa cabbage is mixed well with green onions and is set aside. This salad is popular for its crispy finish, which is derived from the ramen noodles topping. The noodles are tossed with slivered almonds and sesame seeds in butter and are baked till crispy. The crunchy topping is poured over the salad right before serving. The napa cabbage salad can also be served with a typical soy dressing, popular in Chinese cooking.
