A suit was filed against the Jack Daniel distillery in 1987 and Mason claimed damage charges for embezzling his recipe.
However, after a long battle, Tony Mason was only compensated with nominal charge of one dollar and Jack Daniel promoted Lynchburg lemonade in a national campaign and gained lots of success.
