Katsu Chicken

Katsu Chicken is a variation of a Japanese dish called Tonkatsu which uses fried chicken instead of pork and is a part of Hawaiian, Japanese and Korean cuisine. It is served on top of cabbage leaves with Tonkatsu sauce and rice. The key ingredients for this dish are chicken breast or thigh, Japanese bread crumbs called ‘panko’, tonkatsu sauce, vegetable oil, flour and eggs. Katsu Chicken Recipe variations include Chicken Katsu Curry, Chicken Katsu Donburi and Hawaiian Chicken Katsu. It is high in calories and also contains considerable amount of proteins, potassium and iron.
