Ice Cream Topping refers to edible items, mostly confectionary ones that are added to top ice creams. An Ice cream topping is placed on top of the ice cream prior to serving it, in order to enhance the flavor as well as to add to the visual appeal of the dessert. There are an endless number of ice cream toppings that are used by ice cream parlors for decorating and flavoring purposes, some of which include candy toppings, nut toppings, chocolate toppings, baking drops and gummy candy.
