Chef Homaro Cantu is the inventor of futuristic food delivery systems. Homaro Cantu is currently the owner and operational in charge of Moto Restaurant in Chicago and Cantu Designs Firm in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Through his company Cantu Designs, the Chef has filed for numerous patent applications which cover printed food, dining implements, and cookware.
Homaro Cantu, born on 23rd September, 1976 at Tacoma, Washington lived homeless, along with his family (mother and sister) at a very young age from the age of six years to nine years. This dreadful experience of the chef, gave him the strength and courage to fight against poverty and hunger, thus forcing him to make his career in the field of social entrepreneurship.

Education and Professional Career
Homaro Cantu did his graduation from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute, located at Portland, Oregon.
After doing his graduation the chef started to work without any compensation in various top restaurants located on US’s west coast. Thereafter, in the year 1990, he proceeded to Chicago and worked for famous Chef Charlie Trotter. He left Charlie Trotter in 2004. Thereafter, he remained unemployed for a year while making preparations for starting his own restaurant “Moto”. Chef Homaro Cantu did research on various technologies integrated them into his own business. Several fortune 500 companies have been approaching Homaro Cantu for seeking the expert assistance of the chef in product development and creative ideation.
By the end of 2009, a state of the art laboratory was installed by the chef in Moto, with respect to his new TV series by the name “Future food”. Also, this helped him in the expansion of his capabilities in the field of developmental research with his new company by the name “Cantu Designs”. This new restaurant of Chef Homaro Cantu has been highlighted in New York Times Magazine.
