Tomato Penne with Italian Sausage –
Penne is cooked in salted water till al dente and drained off excess water. Sausages are browned in sautéed onions and garlic. Tomato sauce is added and cooked for some time and cheese is added towards the end to make the dish creamy. This mixture is added to the cooked penne pasta and tossed. Salt and pepper are added to taste. Fresh basil is added towards the end and this adds a wonderful flavor to the dish.
Sausage & Broccoli Rabe Penne –
This Penne Sausage dish is rich in carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and protein, because of the ingredients used.
Penne is cooked al dente in salted water and drained off excess water. Sausage is simmered in water with a little oil. It is then fried till it browns and then sliced into thick pieces. Sliced olives, garlic and pepper flakes are added to a pan and when garlic has been sautéed, crushed tomatoes and sausage pieces are added. The contents are mixed well and simmered. Salt is added to taste. Cooked penne is added along with broccoli rabe and cooked till tender. This Penne Sausage dish tastes best garnished with feta.
