Fry Sauce

Fry sauce is a dipping sauce that is served with French fries. The sauce is a mix of two parts tomato sauce with one part mayonnaise.

History

The very first mention of the fry sauce is by the Utah-based Arctic Circle restaurant that claims to have first served the sauce with fries in 1948. Most major fast food chains in the US serve at least one combination of the sauce with their fries.

Other ingredients that are used include ranch dressing, chili sauce, garlic powder and liquid smoke to create the same taste.
