Fruit juice punch is a term used to refer to a variety of fruit based drinks often made with one or more varieties of fruit juices, seasonings and sometimes alcohol. Also sometimes referred to as Punch, this variety of drink is believed to have originated in Indian sub-continent, which then spread in popularity across the globe.

Often preferred to be served at parties, there are alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of fruit juice punches. Mostly in all non-alcoholic fruit juice punches, ginger ale forms the base, whereas in alcoholic fruit juice punch recipes it is substituted by rum. Soda is also one of the likely ingredients in fruit punch as it gives the fizz that is required to complete the drink. Slightly tangy with moderate sweetness, certain fruit juice punch recipes are specially made to be had with food.
