Fruit dip is a dipping sauce basically prepared with cream cheese, vanilla, and sour cream, often, with the addition of one or more of the fruits like apples, oranges, pineapples, strawberries, marshmallows, almonds etc. Among various kinds of fruit dips, one of the refreshing recipes suggests blending together peach slices, strawberries, lemon juice, and almond extract.   • Sherry fruit dip- whipping cream, cream cheese, sherry, and vanilla extract are mixed together, followed by adding confectioner’s sugar in the end.

 

  • Mandarin orange fruit dip- it is a creamy dip made with cream cheese, vanilla, yogurt, and oranges. The dip is garnished with already reserved orange slices and served with assorted fruits.   

 

  • Caramel apple dip- this dip is perfect to be served with apples. It is prepared by melting caramels in water, and then combining the content with a mix of brown sugar and cream cheese. Caramels are prepared by heating together white sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, milk, whipping cream, and butter, followed by addition of vanilla extract after turning off the heat. The mixture is allowed to cool and then cut into squares, known as caramels, before serving.  

 

Serving Suggestions

  • Fruit dips are served chilled along with varied fruit dippers like apples, bananas, kiwi, grapes, papaya, pineapple, raspberries, and strawberries.

 

  • Fruit dip can also be served with bagel bites, which are bite sized pizza breads.
