Preparation of Fried Turkey
Preparation of fried turkey obviously involves frying the poultry meat in adequate oil, and this is achieved by using kitchen equipment specifically designed for frying it. A turkey frying basket, pot holders, thermometers, marinade injectors, and a kitchen fire extinguisher are required. It is preferable to fry a turkey outdoors. The turkey, hung on a hanger, is placed in the frying basket in hot oil. Marinades of desired flavors may be injected in the turkey. A number of fried turkey recipes are made using different types of marinades. It is generally recommended to not stuff a turkey meant for frying.
