Flaky Pastries are an appetizingly inviting and visually pleasing sweet pastry variety often served as a breakfast food. The way the flaky pastries are made is quite interesting – to create the layers, the pastry dough is often rolled, folded and re-folded a number of times, which is then baked in the oven to rise and appear like flakes or leaves. Much filling than the puff pastry variety, flaky pastries, other than served as a breakfast food are also used for making savory desserts like pies etc.
