English muffin bread, a sweet chewy soft and spongy baked product, is basic bread that is baked to the chewy consistency of English muffins. Primarily consisting of the same ingredients that are used for preparing the basic bread, i.e. all purpose flour, white sugar, butter, milk, water and baking soda, cornmeal and salt, the English muffin bread differs from the basic bread in the method of preparation.
