Eggnog Ice Cream is more of a holiday or festive dessert pick, mostly served around the time of Christmas and other adjoining events. Eggnog ice cream is mostly prepared with a custard-base that uses whole milk, egg yolk, sugar, chilled heavy cream, nutmeg and flavoring agents. Commercial eggnog can be a little think which can be softened by adding cream and milk. Other than vanilla, some even flavor eggnog ice cream with a dash of dark rum or brandy and season it with cinnamon for a refreshingly inviting flavor. Eggnog ice cream leaves a texture that is light and creamy, and has a lovely aroma.
