Dosai, or dosa; dhosha; dosay, is a variety of thin, crispy pancake, cooked in South Indian homes and eaten for breakfast or dinner. A dosai is carbohydrate-rich and contains a good amount of protein. After originating in the Udupi temple streets in Karnataka State of South India, dosai is today popular as a snack throughout the world. Often served with sambar or chutneys, dosai is available in great variety.
