Daiquiri Pie

Daiquiri Pie is one of the liqueur-based sweet pie varieties, wherein light rum forms one of the main ingredients along with cream cheese, sweet condensed milk, frozen limeade, whipped cream and food coloring. Daiquiri pie filling often goes over a baked pie crust like graham cracker crust. Some of the popular variations of daiquiri pie include fruit flavored varieties, of which strawberry daiquiri pie is one of the most popular. There are frozen flavored daiquiri mixers available, the use of which can replace light rum in the recipe. Daiquiri pie is a make-ahead type of dessert, which needs to be chilled at least for 4 hours or until set before serving.
