Cumin Recipes

Cumin (sometimes spelled cummin) is a herbaceous annual plant variety mainly grown in the hot and arid lands. The cumin plant yields a fruit-like seed having a distinct bitter flavor and strong, warm aroma, that is often used for the culinary purpose. Cumin seeds are used as spices with its flavor somewhat similar to caraway seeds (use half as much), or caraway seeds plus anise seeds, or chili powder. Liked for its slightly bitter, yet warm flavor, cumin seeds are one of the major ingredient in Middle Eastern, asian, mediterranean and Mexian cuisines.
