Cubed steak is a kind of beef cut taken from top round or top sirloin. Cubed steak is tenderized with meat mallet and flattened to give the shape of a cube. It is also called ‘minute steak’ in some parts of USA. ‘Minute steak’ means the steak cut that cooks in minutes. Cubed steak is one of the common steaks cut to make chicken fried steak. Cubed steak with stewed tomatoes, cubed steak with caper sauce and quick garlic cubed steaks are some of the popular dishes made up of cubed steak.
