Crockpot is a brand name for a slow cooker and is used for slow-cooking meat like beef, lamb and other such meat which needs hours together to cook. The Crockpot is generally a three piece cooker which has metallic-based heating equipment along with an inner vessel and a lid. The meat is cooked slowly in steam and is ideal for making roast beef and stews. Crockpot can be left unattended as it involves long hours of cooking and does not need constant supervision. Crockpot doesn’t take as much liquid as the other cooking methods such as boiling or baking.
