Chopped Liver

Chopped liver is a spread which is very popular in the Jewish cuisine. It can be easily prepared by sautéing liver. The other ingredients that are used include onions, schmaltz, salt, pepper and hard-boiled eggs which are grinded together. The ingredients used and the process of making chopped liver varies from one chef to another. It makes an excellent serve with sandwiches and rye bread. Beef, chicken or calf is the liver that is usually used.
