Chocolate ganache is a glaze or filling made by mixing hot cream with chopped chocolate, the mixture is blended till it is thick and luscious. The ganache is used as an icing for cakes, filling for pies and topping for desserts. It is always made by using equal quantities of chocolate and cream, however, the ratio highly depends on what the ganache will be used for. Besides chocolate and cream other ingredients are also added to create variants like butterball chocolate ganache, dark chocolate ganache, vegan chocolate ganache, etc.
