Chocolate caramel slice is a layered chilled sweet made commonly in the US. It has 3 layers, bottommost layer is biscuit, middle is caramel and the top is chocolate. The biscuit layer is made with flour, butter and sugar which is tapped into a cake tin and baked till crumbly. The caramel layer is made with condensed milk, sugar and corn syrup; it is poured over the cooled biscuit layer. Chocolate layer is the final layer which gives a nice appearance to the sweet. Chocolate caramel slice has variation recipes like white chocolate caramel slices, nutty chocolate caramel slice, etc.
