Chili Powder is a term commonly referred to powdered spice mix which are mainly composed of chili peppers (either red peppers or cayenne peppers). The other main ingredients of chili powder can be any hot pepper including ancho, cayenne, chipotle, or pasilla chilis, cumin, oregano, salt, and garlic powder. Liked for its hot and flavored aroma, chili powder is the main ingredient of traditional Indian cuisines however, Americans are also using it in their food preparation.
