Chicken Thigh

Chicken Thighs are also called dark meat. These muscles that the animal uses more often have more myoglobin in them resulting in its darker color. Although Chicken Thighs contain a slightly higher amount of fat than boneless, skinless chicken breasts, they are still healthier than a same size portion of lamb, beef or pork. The meat from Chicken Thighs has more flavor and are hence excellent for any slow cooked chicken recipe. Chicken Thighs may also be roasted, fried, grilled, oven baked, or barbecued. Shred the Chicken Thighs and toss it in a salad or combine it with dumplings and chicken broth and you’ve got yourself a delicious and nutritious meal.
