Cardamom cookies are shortbread like cookies that are flavored with cardamom. The recipe often used for Christmas cookies though it does not call for a special occasion to make these baked treats. The recipe incorporates flour, butter, baking powder, water, cardamom and sugar. Nuts can be added to the recipe but not in excess. The nuts compliment the mild taste of cardamom and they are great when served with milk or tea.
