Caramel crème brulee is a rich caramel dessert where custard base I stopped with a layer of hard caramel. It may either be served warm or cold. Traditionally, the custard base in this dessert is flavored with vanilla but nowadays it may even be flavored with chocolate, coffee, fruits, rosemary, lemon or orange zest and even spices like ginger. The ingredients required to make caramel crème brulee include milk, water, sugar, egg yolks, salt, vanilla and whipped cream.
