Buttermilk biscuits, usually salted biscuits, are a traditional snack recipe. The dry biscuit mix consisting of flour, kosher salt or normal salt, and butter are mixed till a coarse crumby consistency is attained. Buttermilk, the primary ingredient of the buttermilk biscuits recipe, is added to make dough which is divided into small portions and rolled out into thick sheets from which the biscuits are cut and baked to yield the buttermilk biscuits. A delicious snack, buttermilk biscuits are an all time tea time favorite.
