Beer bread, a spongy, porous, sweet tasting simple variation of the basic bread, is made with beer, flour, a leavening agent such as baking soda or yeast. Baked conventionally, the beer bread consists of mixing flour, sugar, baking powder or yeast and butter with beer, and baking the batter in a greased loaf tray at 375 degrees for one hour. Different types of beer can be used creatively to make an awesome range of beer bread.
