Beef Korma

Beef korma (beef curry) is a usually spicy Indian dish often served as an accompaniment to mail course.

Preparation of Beef Korma

Beef korma may be prepared using stewing meat. A paste of spices( known as masala in Hindi) consisting of ginger, garlic, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, garam masala powder, red chili powder, turmeric and asafetida is made and kept aside. The meat is browned in a bit of vegetable oil in a skillet. Later in the same skillet, some onions are sautéed till translucent and the spicy paste is added. The seasonings are fried till rawness is gone, and the browned beef is added. The entire mixture is stir-fried till done. Towards the end sour cream or yogurt may be added to the curry for enhanced flavors.
