Barbecue Chicken is a mouth watering grilled chicken dish that is sweet and spicy. Many a time, the chicken is seasoned and put directly on the grill without marination. However this could lead to the chicken getting cooked on the outside while the inside remains uncooked. Marination tenderizes the meat and makes the Barbecue Chicken succulent. Chicken can be marinated in spices like red pepper, seasoning, garlic powder, chives, etc or salad dressings like Italian, Caesar, balsamic vinaigrette and raspberry vinaigrette or even honey, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, etc. While on the grill, barbecue sauce, honey, etc is basted on the Chicken when nearly done. If sauces are basted on the Barbecue Chicken early on, the sugar contents in these sauces caramelizes with the heat and causes it to burn the outside of the chicken without it being fully cooked inside. Potato and pasta salads, horseradish dip, cole slaw, three-bean salads, baked beans, cornbread, etc make great accompaniments to Barbecue Chicken.
