Baked Apple is an age-old dessert dish made by baking apples with sweet seasonings.

Preparation of Baked Apple.

Baked Apple obviously involves baking as the major culinary process. Baking can be conventionally done in an oven or, more modernly, in a microwave oven. The conventional dish usually partners raisins with apples. The cooked fruit is coated with sweet syrup which may be spiced with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg or ginger. A bit of lemon juice may be added for a hint of citrus flavoring which enhances the basic taste of the dish.
