Bacon cheeseburger is a type of hamburger made with bacon patty and cheese. It is classified as a sandwich and is also considered a junk food.
Ingredients and Preparation
Bacon is the main ingredient for making bacon cheeseburger. Other ingredients like avocado, jalapenos, mushrooms, pickles, onions and garlic can also be used to make the patty. Different types of processed cheese slices are used. Cheddar, swiss, mozzarella, jack cheese or gouda slices can be used. Seasonings like cayenne pepper, chilli and parsley are also used.
Bacon is ground to form a fine mixture. Onions and other vegetable are diced and seasonings are added. The patty is made and grilled or fried.
Burger bread may be grilled. One or more patties may be placed. Tomato slices, lettuce, onion, jalapenos are placed on the patty. Cheese slice is added on top of the patty. The top of the burger bread is placed. Sauces like mayonnaise, ranch sauce, BBQ sauce or other sauces can be added to enhance the flavor of the dish.
