Apricot Pie is a very traditional and luscious fruit pie, primarily made with fresh apricots, flour, sugar, butter etc. Often made as a double crust pie, apricot pie uses pastry top and bottom, along with nutmeg garnishing. A dash of lemon juice is also added to the pie mix as it gives the apricot pie a subtle tangy flavor. Old fashioned apricot pie usually takes in vanilla flavoring, along with a slight touch of apricot brandy and cinnamons. Unlike the other fruit and berry pies, apricot pie is very nutritious and hence is often served for breakfast.
