This school is one of the first American cooking schools. It was founded in 1946 to train war veterans in culinary arts. It is a not-for-profit independent college and aims to create more program options for the growing student population. Programs available here include baking & pastry arts, culinary arts, wine studies, professional development programs, and food enthusiast programs. Accreditation has been awarded by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

 

 

The Art Institute of Washington

Established in July 2000, this cooking school in America provides a good study environment with up-to-date technology. The courses offered here include bachelor of science in culinary arts and management, and food & beverage management. Associate degree courses in culinary arts and baking and pastry are available here too. Being a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, the courses available here have been accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The American Culinary Federation has accredited the course in culinary arts.

 

 

The Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio

This is another American cooking school which has been around for many decades. It is continuing in its mission to provide highly-skilled professionals in the culinary and hospitality industry every year. An associate degree program in culinary arts is available here. A certificate program in Latin cuisines, which covers the cuisines of the Caribbean, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay/Paraguay, and Venezuela/Columbia. The institute has been awarded accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

 

 

California Culinary Academy, San Francisco

Established in 1977, this academy provides professional training for students in international culinary arts and baking. The school follows the Le Cordon Bleu curriculum and ensures that the students receive quality culinary education coupled with practical training. Degree courses and certificate courses in culinary arts and baking & pastry arts are available here. Online programs and non-professional cooking classes can also be opted. Being one of the many American schools which have partnered with Le Cordon Bleu, this institute in Los Angeles was opened in 1994.
