Amaretto cake is baked with amaretto, a type of Italian liqueur, butter, cream cheese and milk. Traditionally, the amaretto cake is baked in a Bundt cake pan or a tube cake pan and decorated with a sweet sauce before being served.

In order to make an Amaretto cake, you will need a cake mix, vanilla icing, vanilla extract, almond extract, red food coloring and maraschino cherries (optional).
Method of Preparation of Amaretto Cake
Bake the cake as per the instructions given on the box and while the cake is getting ready, work on the icing. Once the cake is ready, punch holes into the top, and pour the icing over it. The amaretto cake can also be served with blanched and sliced almonds.
