Alaskan Salmon or otherwise termed as Pacific Salmon is a variety of salmon fish seen in plenty in pacific waters lining the region of Alaska. This variety of fish is most often caught wild and hence the name wild Alaskan Salmon.

There are different types of salmon fish categorized under the term Alaskan salmon, however, some of the popular varieties that are consumed include Chinook or King salmon, pink salmon or humpy, keta salmon, sockeye salmon etc.
Culinary Usage:
Very versatile, Alaskan salmons have quite a lot of culinary usage; they can be treated under different types of cooking methods and take almost all seasonings quite well. Prepared Alaskan salmon is usually served with a mild sauce.
